Another possibility for asteroids in a binary system, is an orbit arround one of the stars. The orbit of the asteroids is severely disturbed by the gravity field of the other star. This is also visible at the asteroids in our own solar system. Here their trajectory is disturbed by the gravity of Jupiter. Another possibility is the famous figure eight trajectory between the stars. This is a highly instable orbit.
